Consuelo Battley

Our dearly beloved wife and mother, Consuelo "Connie" Battley, age 66 of Wheeler, Michigan has gone to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Funeral Services will be held at Ithaca Wesleyn Church Ithaca, Michigan on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Douglas Strait will officiate with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery Breckenridge, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 4-8 P.M.

Connie was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on May 30, 1939 the daughter of Victor and Esther ( Garcia ) Ramirez. She resided most of her life in Gratiot County. Connie married Charles Battley on June 11, 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wheeler, Michigan. She was a homemaker. She was also active in various organizations while her children were in school. She liked church activities, shopping, and spending time with all her family. She was a member of Ithaca Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her husband Charles Battley of Wheeler, MI, 7 children; Kathleen S. & Mel Albin of Maryland, Christopher C. Battley of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Cynthia C. & Dan Johnson of Ithaca, MI, Sally A. & Bernie Rittenour of Utah, Scott D. & Michelle Battley of Port Huron, MI, Yevette M. & David LeCurex of Wheeler, MI, David L. Battley of Merrill, MI, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Sara & Joe Sanchez of Alma, MI, brother Juan Ramirez of Alma, MI, sister Maria & Fred Vetere of Alma, MI, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mom and mother-in law.

Memorials may be made to Ithaca Wesleyan Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
