Cynthia Brooks

Cynthia Lee Brooks, age 62, of Owosso, MI passed Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 19, 2009 at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, Owosso. Brother Joe Minarik will officiate.

Cynthia was born in Arlington, Virginia on December 6, 1946, the daughter of Harry Leonard and Dorothy (Plaugher) Hippler. She resided in Owosso for over 20 years. Cynthia married Ronald Brooks on March 18, 1999. She was studying with Jehovah's Witnesses.

Cynthia worked many years for Memorial Healthcare. She enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, caring for her home and spending time with her family. Cynthia was devoted to serving the community and was a board member of the Owosso Ampitheater. Cynthia was also an animal lover, caring for all animals.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Brooks of Owosso, MI, daughter WestiJo and David Douglas of Sunset, UT, son Dale and Jodi Maycock of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren; Joshua, Michael, Levi, Ericka, Amanda, Tallon, Hailey and Kristen, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Jeanette and Abe Yocum of Alexandria, VA, and niece Cheri and Clayton Milhon of Lorton, VA. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents.
