Dale Arnold Bartlett, age 67, of Edmore, MI died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Day Bethel Baptist Church in Stanton, MI on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Tom DuPont will officiate. Burial will take place at Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Faith United Methodist Church in Edmore, MI.
Dale was born in Wyman, Michigan on May 3, 1942, the son of Walter Dale and Beulah Faye (McGee) Bartlett. He was a graduate of Edmore High School class of 1960. He was married to Darla Hansen on June 10, 1961 in Edmore, MI. Dale was a lifelong resident of Edmore. He retired from the family business, Bartlett?s Water Well Service in 2008 after several years of service. He had also worked for several construction companies prior to that. Dale and Darla owned and operated Bartlett?s Greenhouse for the past 25 years. He loved hunting, gardening, camping, woodworking, and doing volunteer work for the church. He attended Day Bethel Baptist Church in Stanton, MI. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Darla Bartlett of Edmore, MI, 2 sons; Doug and Melanie Bartlett of Six Lakes, MI, Dennis and Nancy Bartlett of Blanchard, MI, daughter Darcy and Bill Walukonis of Cedar Springs, MI, 6 grandchildren; Danielle and Chris Arganbright of Blanchard, MI, Debbie and Caleb Decker of Blanchard, MI, Derrick Bartlett of Stanton, MI, Alexandria Bartlett of Edmore, MI, Andrew Bartlett of Edmore, MI, Nickolas Walukonis of Cedar Springs, MI, 1 great grandson Joshua Arganbright of Blanchard, MI, sister Faye and Steve Ross of Hillsdale, MI, brother Ron and Gloria Bartlett of Blanchard, MI, sister Beverly and Duane Kelley of Riverdale, MI, brother Rick and Sheri Bartlett of Edmore, MI, and his mother in law Chrystal Hansen of Six Lakes, MI. He is also survived by a sister in law Sharlene & Jon Hansen of Scottsdale, AZ, and a brother in law Kevin & Sherrie Hansen of Eldorado, CA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law George Hansen, brother in law Collin Hansen, 2 infant grandsons Nathaniel and Zackariah, and an infant granddaughter Madyson.
