Dale Crowell

Dale A. Crowell, age 62, of Jackson, formerly of Elsie, Michigan passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at John George Home in Jackson, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, Michigan on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Mona Dye officiating.  Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Dale was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 8, 1953, the son of Myron and Irene (Knight) Crowell.  He graduated from OE High School with the class of 1972.  Dale resided most of his life in the Elsie area until moving to Jackson in 2009.  Dale had worked for Gene's IGA in Elsie for many years and then he went to Meijer's in Owosso, Michigan. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing.  Dale had a great voice and also enjoyed singing.

He is survived by 2 sisters; Doris and Don Edgar of Ithaca, Michigan, Sharon and Bill Gannon of Jackson, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers; Bill & Lon and 1 sister Janet ‘Sally’ Pope.
