Dale Alan Kraus

     Dale Alan Kraus, age 68 of St. Johns, MI, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022.

     Dale was born in Lansing, MI on October 6, 1954, the son Ernest and Lucille (Kabelitz) Kraus.  Dale was a graduate of Sexton High School then later graduated from LCC with an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Mechanics and Welding. Also he obtained his Commercial Driver’s License from LCC.  He loved driving truck and obtained the achievement of driving over millions of miles.  On August 29, 2008, Dale married Lori A. Cardy, at they were married at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lansing, MI.

     Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also loved to ride his motorcycle and his jet skis.  Dale enjoyed owning and running his farm and tending to the farm animals. Watching the sunrise and sunset on the farm was one of his favorite pastimes.  Family was the most important to him and he loved the time he spent with family and friends joking around. Dale was involved with the Comb Bee Keeping Club. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns, MI.

     He is survived by his wife Lori Kraus of St. Johns, MI; son Shawn Kraus of Lansing, MI; daughter Tonya Thompson of Fort Worth, TX; son J.J. (Francesca) Ambrose of Guam; step-son Justin and Dierdre Fudge of Milan, MI; step-daughter Kristin and Anthony Osborne of Lansing, MI; grandchildren: Taylor, Tyra (Amrik), Mariah, Tyler, Samantha, Kimberly, Greyson, Sydney, Natallie, Gabriel, Nash, Alexa, Asher, Wesley, Henry, Carter, and Delia; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Trinity Rose; sister Barb and Ken Birringer of Ypsilanti, MI; sister Carole and Steve Roberts of Evart, MI; sister Julie Kraus of Plainwell, MI; sister Faye Kraus of Lansing, MI. Dale was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.   Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin Wende Vsetula.
