Daleta Pontack

Daleta Dawn Pontack age 82, of Owosso, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Nathan Struble officiating.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Daleta was born in Elsie, MI on October 12, 1934 the daughter of Dale Earl and Vida Mae (Saylor) George.  She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1952. On August 1, 1953 she married Albert Pontack in Bannister, MI.  Dee had worked at J Tux and Bridal in Owosso, MI for a number of years. She enjoyed painting, music, and taking care of her family.  Dee was a member of First Free Methodist Church in Owosso, MI.

She is survived by her husband Albert Pontack of Owosso, MI, son James and Julie Pontack of St. Johns, MI, grandchildren; Carrie and Jeremi Sutliff of Ovid, MI, Chad and Trina Pontack of Elsie, MI, Colleen and Matt Nethaway of Elsie, MI, Joseph and Courtney Pontack of St. Johns, MI, Jamie and Tate Coleman of Laingsburg, MI. She is also survived by great grandchildren; Keaghan, Karscen and KayLee Sutliff, Carley, Hayden, Landon, and Elijah Pontack, Mattison, Mya, and Cole Nethaway, Isabelle Pontack, and one more on the way.  She was predeceased by her parents, son Mark "Gator" Pontack, and sister Jean Baese.
