Dane Alfred Church age 65 of St. Louis, MI died Monday, May 16, 2005 in Saginaw, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Mr. Keith J. Wise will officiate with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Dane was born in Alma, Michigan on November 29, 1939 the son of Lenneth L. and Vida ( Woodrow ) Church. He resided most of his life in the Alma & St. Louis area. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1958. Dane married Patricia Clark in St. Louis, Michigan on September 5, 1976. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Fisher Body in 1999. Dane enjoyed horses and driving his tractor. He loved to do crossword & jigsaw puzzles as well as traveling. He was a past member of the Sheriffs Posse for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Church of St. Louis, MI, 3 children; Sue McGill of Alma, MI, Rhonda & Fred Best of St. Louis, MI, LeRoy Church of St. Louis, MI, 4 step-children; Jack (Rose) Mallery of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Michael (Cathy) Mallery of South Dakota, Renee (Michael) Netzley of St. Louis, MI, Larry (Michelle) Mallery of Riverdale, MI, 6 grandchildren; Alex, Tiffany, Amber, Dana, Hunter, & Kayle, 9 step grandchildren; Jamie, Jenniffer, Jessica, Matthew, Megan, Justin, EmmyLou, Mikayla, & Nash, 3 great grandchildren; Hannah, Haleigh & Hazen, mother Vida Church of Alma, MI, mother-in-law Mary Clark of St. Louis, MI, 1 sister Zelma & Olive Moeggenborg of Alma, MI, 2 brothers Marvin & Sandy Church of Alma, MI, Duane Church of Alma, MI and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his father, 2 brothers Melvin & Mervin, & 1 sister Gloria.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice in Memory of Dane. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
