Daniel Merle Bradd, age 85, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Hugh Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday July 29, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Daniel was born in Owosso, Michigan on November 19, 1925, the son of Norman and Susanna (Leatherdale) Bradd. Dan resided all of his life in Owosso and attended Owosso High School until entering the U.S. Army, serving from 1944-1946 during WWII. Dan married Claudean Seeger on March 30, 1947 in Owosso, MI, his wife of almost 65 years.

Dan retired from Mid-West Abrasive in 1988, working there for 40 years, driving trucks, working in shipping & receiving. He also had his own TV repair business. After his retirement, he and his wife were sextons for Christ Episcopal Church for 7 years. Dan enjoyed woodworking and especially loved doting on his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man. Dan is a member of The House Church.

He is survived by his wife Claudean Bradd of Owosso, MI, daughter Martha Grinnell of Owosso, MI, son Wes and Charyl Bradd of Waldorf, MD, 5 grandchildren; Claudette and Tim Davis of Ann Arbor, MI, Eric and Kristen Grinnell of Burlington, KY, Jacob and Misty Bradd of Waldorf, MD, Jamie Bradd of Waldorf, MD, Jonathan and Ericka Bradd of Nashville, TN, 3 great grandchildren; Daniel Grinnell, Nathan Bradd and Aidan Bradd. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, son Phillip Bradd, 4 sisters; Beulah, Catherine, Clara and Hulda, 2 brothers; Norman and Woody and son-in-law Gary Grinnell.
