Daniel Richard Price

     Daniel Richard Price, age 90, of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, Michigan.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 8, 2024, with Pastor Jim Pearl officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
     Daniel was born in St. Johns, Michigan on March 11, 1934, the son Clyde C. and Zelma Ann (Sturgis) Price. He resided in St. Johns all of his life. On March 29, 1952, Daniel married June Joyce Ney at St. Johns Lutheran Church in St. Johns, Michigan. They were blessed with sixty-eight years of marriage prior to her passing on June 13, 2020.
     Dan worked for Oldsmobile for nearly thirty years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the UAW Local #652 and Shop Committeemen, Chairman of Shop Committee, and Top Negotiator in Detroit for the UAW. He enjoyed working on cars.
     He is survived by four children: Timothy Price, Cheryle (Robert) Mitchell, Michael (Mary) Price, and Jeffery Price; son-in-law Tony Weaver; nineteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife June, infant daughter Carolyn, daughter Lynette Weaver, and siblings: Ken, Bob, Geraldine, Stanley, and Gerald.
