Danielle Rene (Gilles) Fulghum

     Danielle Rene Fulghum, age 46, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022, at her home.
      A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022,  with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Visitation will be held 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
      Danielle was born in Carson City, Michigan on May 18, 1975, the daughter of Richard William and Nancy Rene (Losee) Gilles. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1993. On July 8, 2002, Danielle married Donald Albert Fulghum in Ithaca, MI. They were blessed with 5 children.
      Danielle loved summer! She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and floating around in the pool reading. She was an avid "True Crime" podcasts and knew every episode of Law and Order SVU.
      Danielle truly cared about people. She didn't know any strays! If anyone had a need, Danielle was quick to help whether it was gas, food, a place to stay or any other need. She was a protector of those she loved and was a woman of action whenever she thought it was needed. She loved to help people through her years of work at Federal Mogul, IAC and Consumers' Energy.    Most of all, Danielle loved her family and especially being "Grandma!"
      Danielle is survived by her father Dick Gilles, husband Donald, 5 children: Peyton Fulghum of PA, Donni Fulghum of Washington, D.C., Isabella Fulghum of Ithaca, Georgia Fulghum of Ithaca, and Gracie Fulghum of Ithaca; grandson Cash Weaver, 2 sisters: Erin Gilles, and Laura (John) Hurosky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Follett.
