Danny "Dan" A. Cover, age 52, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11-1 PM prior to the service at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso. Burial will follow at Lakefield Cemetery, Merrill, MI. Pastor John Hoskins will officiate.
Danny was born in Lodi, Ohio on August 21, 1958, the son of Franklin Wilbur and Violet Bertha (Norris) Cover. Danny resided most of his life in Ohio, living in Owosso for the last 15 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Dan was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to local speedways. He was a Dale Earnhart Sr. collector.
He is survived by his fiancée' Kaye Freeman of Owosso, MI, son Danny Cover of Ohio, daughter Jessica Cover of California, step-son Brian and Kari Freeman of Owosso, MI, step-son Kevin and Ginny Freeman of Elsie, MI, step-son Jason and Jennifer Freeman of Elsie, MI, grandchildren; sister Joyce Burgess of Wooster, OH, sister Lynda "Jean" and Rickie Hinton of Creston, OH, brother William and Brenda Cover of Burbank, OH, brother Stephen and Lyn Cover of West. Salem, OH, brother Ronald and Joyce Cover of Ashland, OH, sister Elizabeth and Les Crumley of Burbank, OH, and sister Terry and David Burss of Massillon, OH. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Dennis and Bryan Cover.
