Darlene Fern Evans

      Darlene Fern Evans, age 84, of Ashley, MI, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at her home.
     A Private Graveside Service will be held at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI.
     Darlene was born in Ashley, Michigan on May 7, 1940, the daughter of Chester Arthur and Leota Daphane (Morse) Robbennolt. Darlene married Ernest Evans on September 3, 1958, in Angola, IN. Ernest passed February 24, 2001. Darlene worked as a cook for Ashley Schools for over 20 years.
     She enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren at school while she worked there. Darlene loved camping, watching wildlife in her yard and watching baseball. She looked forward to hosting holidays and dinners with her family. Her family was most important to her and she treasured spending time with them.
     She is survived by her children: Christene Lund of Grand Rapids, MI; Ernie and Tonya Evans of Brethren, MI; Cathleen and Eric Wegner of Ashley, MI; and Char and Matt Shubitowski of Carson City, MI; grandchildren: Rachael and Adam Sprik, Heather Lund and Thomas Zieba, Kara and Dave Danowski, Shaine and Jeff Savoie, Tyler Evans, Brandi and Ben Orweller, and Ken Shubitowski. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and a great grandson.
