In addition to her role as a crossing guard her favorite job was babysitting her grandchildren. They were a big part of her world. She had a special talent for making each child feel loved and valued, a gift that extended to her own family and friends.
Darlene’s interest was as multifaceted as her personality. Her hands were rarely idle, as she found joy and solace in sewing, creating beautiful pieces that were both practical and artistic. Darlene was also known for her love of garage sales, both hosting and exploring them with enthusiasm that was contagious. Always in the hunt for hidden treasures, she delighted in the stories and history behind each find. Her role as the family historian was one she embraced with fierce, meticulously preserving the memories and milestones of her loved ones for future generations. The words loving, kind and thoughtful are the essence of Darlene’s being. She approached life with a gentle strength and a generous heart. Always ready to lend a listening ear or helping hand.
