Darlene Kay (Hope) Lockwood, age 63, of Ithaca, MI died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Rick Rogers will officiate. Burial will take place at Colliers Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Darlene was born in St. Johns, Michigan on October 3, 1946, the daughter of Lafie Lafayette and Elinor Grace (McDiarmid) Lockwood. She graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1965. She was a lifelong resident of the Ithaca area. She loved her family and spending time with them. Darlene also loved sewing for her family, providing them with homemade clothing for many years, and also cooking and preparing dinners for her grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her 2 daughters; Tricia and Mark Hope-Johnston of Lansing, MI, Wendy Hope of Ithaca, MI, 5 grandchildren; Kaylee, Travis, Brooke, Faithe, and Anealya, her mother Elinor Gallant of St. Johns, MI, sister Lavonne and Calvin Price of Pompeii, MI, and a brother Chet and Linda Lockwood of Maple Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother Thomas Lockwood.
