Darlton Brown

Darlton M. Brown, age 80, of Henderson, Michigan, died Sunday, April 26th, 2015 at Laurels of Fulton, Perrinton, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Forrest Hill Cemetery, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Darlton was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 28, 1934, the son of Gerald and Rachel (Harrison) Brown. He served his country in the US Army, as a Medic in the 82nd Airborne.

In 1987 he married Joan Swan in Springfield, MO. Joan died on December 11, 2009. Darlton retired from Johnson Controls in Owosso, Michigan and he farmed and had worked for General Motors in Flint, Michigan.

He is survived by his daughter, Bethany Himes and Jim Kildea of Evart, MI; son, Gerald Brown of Owings Mills, MD; 4 grandchildren, Forrest and Silver Brown of Louisiana, Carlton Brown of Louisiana, Trisha and Chris Martin of Michigan, Dustin and Geraldine Himes of Texas, 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
