Darryl Hayward

Darryl Olin Hayward age 78, of Ithaca, MI, formerly of the Lansing area, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering will be held at JJ Rubys, Ithaca, MI on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. A Burial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery, Fowlerville, MI at 12:00 P.M. with a luncheon to follow at Faternal Order of Eagles in Howell, MI.

Darryl was born in Barryton, MI on July 3, 1939, the son of Olin Wilmer Hayward and Velma Mae (Nelson) Boersma.

Darryl retired from Michigan State University as a Master Plumber. He loved hunting, fishing, and attending auctions.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by children; Tina and Dennis Albert of Lansing, MI, Darryl Hayward Jr. and Lisa Underhill of Owosso, MI, Debbie Harvey of Howell, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and grandson Austin.
