Darwin Scott

Darwin J. Scott, age 76, of Elsie, MI, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Main Bar and Grill in Ovid, MI on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1-4 P.M. Burial be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI.

Darwin was born in Elsie, MI on May 30, 1942, the son of Robert and Gathel (Stinebower) Scott. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1960.

Dar was a Building Tradesman, a Boilermaker retired from Local 169, and a good hand. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting and spending time in nature. He also loved playing euchre, reading, and spending time with his family. Dar was a friend to everyone.

He is survived by his daughters: Tracy and Sean Craig of Grosse Pte Park, MI; Darcy and John Gentis of New Boston, MI; dear companion Joy Goodman of Elsie, MI; grandchildren: Jonathan Gentis, Julia Gentis, Jaclyn Gentis, Jayde Gentis, and Zoe Craig; and brother Robert Scott of Fort Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gay Lea Svendor.
