David Arnst

David Edgar Arnst, age 87, of Bannister, MI passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at East Washington United Brethren Church Ashley, MI on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. David Arnst officiating.

David was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 4, 1928, the son of David and Sarah (Calkins) Arnst. David married Charlotte Evans on July 11, 1959 at East Washington United Brethren Church, Ashley, MI.

David was a lifelong farmer. He retired from General Motors in 1960 he went on to work for Vaughn Seed Company in Ovid, MI. He enjoyed playing the accordion, puzzles, reading and collecting model cars and tractors. David was a member of Fenmore Church and East Washington United Brethren Church. He served his country in the United States Army Transportation Corps.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte Arnst, daughter Nancy  and Doug Kirby, daughter Edna and Ken Peters, son David and Wendy Arnst, grandchildren; Doug and Jamie Kirby, Holly and Justin Boone, Becky and John Chrenka, Eric and Alisha Peters, Alex Arnst, and April Sutliff, 9 great grandchildren, brother Marvin and Nancy Arnst and sister Shirley and Fred Jensen.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Edgar Arnst and brother Nelson Arnst.
