David Cordray

David Richard Cordray, age 64, of Bannister, MI passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Sparrow Health Systems Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., with Mr. Thomas Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

David was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 29, 1949, the son of Cloyd Sanford and Martha (Lecruex) Cordray. David graduated from Ashley High School with class of 1967. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. Dave was a farmer all of his life, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on his Allis Chalmers tractors. He loved milking his cows. He resided most of his life in the Ashley and Bannister areas. Dave was a member of the DAV, American Legion and the Allis Chalmers Club.

He is survived by his significant other Linda Bearden of Bannister, MI, 2 daughters; Cathie Webb of Middletown, OH, Kari and Chris Holton of Bannister, MI, 2 sons; Jesse and Lindsey Cordray of Bannister, MI, Alex Cordray of Bannister, MI, 8 grandchildren, 3 sisters; Martha Ann, Mary Louise, and Janice, and 2 brothers; George, and Cloyd. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Richard.
