David Darling

David Michael Darling, age 22, of Jacksonville, NC, formerly of Elsie, MI passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Jacksonville, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

David was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 10, 1990, the son of Ronald Leroy and Christina Marie (Sawyer) Darling. David graduated from Ovid Elsie High School with the class of 2008. He was a lifelong resident of Elsie, and had worked for Meijer in Dewitt, and worked as a self employed machine shop cutter/grinder. David loved hunting, fishing, music, and spending time with his family. David was a very thoughtful, faithful friend to many.

He is survived by his mother Christina Darling of Elsie, MI, father Ronald Darling of Elsie, MI, sister Jessica and Mike Carie of Elsie, MI, brother Jacob Darling of Elsie, MI, sister Alexis Darling-Filipiak of Elsie, MI, sister Isabel Darling-Filipiak of Elsie, MI, grandparents; Grant and Betty Stinson of Elsie, MI, Arlieta Sawyer of Bath, MI, and Mike and Sue Sawyer of Kentucky. David was preceded in death by his grandfather Kenneth Darling, and a brother Ryan Darling.
