David Gingerich

David Gingerich, a devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away March 23, 2020.

David was born April 20, 1949 in Omer, MI to Melvin and Susanne. He graduated from Arenac High School with the class of 1967. David served in the Army from 1968 to 1970. He served in combat during the Vietnam war; participating in signal corps and received sharp shooter and good conduct medal. David was known for being very patriotic and often wore things to show his support for our country, the military and POW-MIA. He was a business owner alongside his wife where they built many relationships across the whole state of Michigan.

David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Robin Gingerich, 3 sons: Brent (Diane) Gingerich, Doug (Angie) Gingerich, and Kristopher Gingerich. He is also survived by 3 step children: Logan (Lisa) Davis, Leyscha Davis, and Brockk (Marcy) Davis; brothers: Melvin (Karen), Duane; mother in law Harriet Miller; grandchildren: Megan, Ashleigh, Nick, Zach, Ryan, Noah, Marcelus, Alex, Brandon, Charisma, Kylie, Gene, Aleksis, Kyler, Brantley, Vincent, and Evan; great grandchildren: Kason, Nevaeh, A.J., Isabella, Atticus, and Cyrus. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan.

David enjoyed an early night and relaxing with Robin. They traveled together, went and visited family and enjoyed spending summers at their cabin. David was a proud member of Seville Community Church of God.

Cremation has taken place and A Celebration of Life will be held at Seville Community Church of God, Elwell, MI on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Bob Fall officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 A.M. prior to the service at the church.
