David Post

David Leon Post age 53 of St. Louis, Michigan passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, Michigan at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI. Memorials in Dave's honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Davey was born in Alma, Michigan on February 27, 1963 the son of Raymond and Cora Jane (Lewis) Post. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1982.  Davey was a supervisor at Alma Tire where he worked for over 25 years.  He loved time up at the cabin on Houghton Lake fishing and boating with his family. He had a passion for working on old cars, bowling, hunting, and mushrooming.  Davey loved people and always thought of others first; never complaining, always giving.  He loved to take care of his family.

Dave is survived by His mother, Cora Jane and his brothers: Ken, Paul (Jenny) and Al; nieces and nephews: Katie (Matt) Wing, Stacey Post, Aaron Post, Cody Post, Scott (Brittney) Mizer, Skyler and Braelyn Post,  Cooper and Carson Post.  He was preceded in death by his father Raymond in 2011.
