Dean Wendell Sherrick, age 80 of Middleton, Michigan passed away meeting his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 31, 2011. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services with be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at New Haven Church of the Brethren, Middleton, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at New Haven Township Cemetery.
Dean was born in Middleton, Michigan on October 10, 1930, the son of Burton and Donna (Noll) Sherrick. He graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1949. On September 7, 1957 he married Jean MacNaughton at the family farm. Dean farmed and milked cows on the family farm all of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and hunting. Dean resided all of his life on the family farm and was a member of the DHIA board of directors, and a member of the New Haven Church of the Brethren. He served his church as a past deacon.
Survivors include his wife Jean Sherrick of Middleton, MI, 3 daughters; Marta and Dennis Lake of Ithaca, MI, Linda and Daryl Morrical of Yorktown, IN, Sharon and Terry Lepley of Carson City, MI, 2 sons; Joe and Kim Sherrick of Lansing, MI, Kevin and Kelly Sherrick of Middleton, MI, 11 grandchildren; Zeb Lepley, Seth & Angie Lake, Josh Sherrick, Brandon Morrical, Amanda Lepley, Courtney Lake, Justin Lake, Ethan Morrical, Tabetha & Aaron Maunumaki, Kanyon Sherrick, Kamrey Sherrick, 1 great grandson; Gavin Maunumaki, 3 sisters; Bonnie Clark, Betty Miller, Beverly Campbell, and 1 brother; Don Sherrick. He was predeceased by his parents, and 1 granddaughter, Nikki Sherrick.
