Deanna Lynn (Midcalf) Thurston, age 46, of Merrill MI passed away Thursday, May 29th, 2014 at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Louis Church of Christ on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Jut Daron officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Deanna was born in Tawas, Michigan on October 4, 1967, the daughter of Robert Midcalf and Jacklyn (Davis) Ostrander.
Deanna enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, camping and traveling with her children. She was a nurse for 20 years in Gaylord, Michigan.
She is survived by her son Aaron Midcalf of Fowlerville, MI; daughter Kathryn Thurston of Traverse City, MI; step daughter Katie Knight of Midland, MI; mother Jacklyn and Adrian Ostrander of St. Louis, MI; sister Susan and Brent Singer of St. Charles, MI; niece April; brother Michael and Celeste Midcalf of Hemlock, MI; nephew Josh; brother Edward and Jackie Midcalf of Wheeler, MI; and her grandmother Helen Davis of Merrill, MI. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Midcalf, grandparents Walter & Florence Midcalf and grandfather Jack Davis.
Memorials may be made to Gratiot County Hospice.
