Deborah Sue Rodriguez, age 59, of Alma, MI passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ithaca, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Deborah was born in Alma, Michigan on March 18, 1956, the daughter of Jerry L. and Barbara J. (Miller) Netzley. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1974 and received her Bachelors degree from UofM in Spanish and Linguistics.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked to read and cross stitch. She worked as a librarian at the University of Michigan for 6 years. She volunteered at the Masonic Home for many years. Debbie was active at the St. Louis Church of Christ, where she was also a member.
She is survived by her 2 sisters; Mindy and Ken Hale of Ithaca, MI, Lisa and Tony Pizzaloto of New Port Richey, FL, brother Steve and Kristi Netzley of Ithaca, MI, 8 nieces and nephews; Aaron and Amy Hale of Ithaca, MI, Anthony and Lacey Hale of North Star, MI, Alisha and Brandon Olson of Muskegan, MI, Michelle, Jessica, and Michael Pizzaloto of New Port Richey, Florida, Alex and Andrew Netzley of Ithaca, MI, and one great niece Grace Eileen Hale. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her husband Ernest Rodriguez.
