Debra Nesen

Debra Sue Nesen, age 53, of St. Louis, MI passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. John Wood officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Debra was born in Alma, Michigan on May 21, 1959, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Louise Joy (Domke) Reeves. Debra attended St. Louis High School and graduated with the class of 1977. Debra went on to graduate from Ross Medical School in Lansing, MI. She and her husband managed Nesens Countryside Park in St. Louis. Debra was a Girl Scout leader for several years. She loved gardening, flowers, camping, boating, and traveling. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life.

She is survived by her husband Brian Nesen of St. Louis, MI, 2 sons; Jeremy Kasnow and Bridgett Peak of St. Louis, MI, Nathan and Heather Nesen of St. Louis, MI, daughter Sierra Nesen of St. Louis, MI, brother Kenneth D. Reeves and Dee Porter of Ithaca, MI, sister Diana and Scott Cole of St. Johns, MI, brother Douglas and Cindi Reeves of North Carolina, grandchildren; Alexis, Cameron, Colton, Mya, Jaycelin and Liberty, many nieces and nephews, parents in law Stanley and Frances Nesen of St. Louis, MI, and brothers in law; Scott Nesen of Riverdale, MI, and Ron Nesen of Naples, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and nephew Timothy Reeves.
