Delma Bolton

Delma Bolton of Ovid, MI died at the Ashley Care Center on February 24, 2017 at the age of 84.

Delma was born on September 22, 1932 to Delmar and Nancy (Jenkins) Baker in Clinton County, Michigan.     Delma was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time up north in Harrison, traveling in the Upper Peninsula, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.  She was very devoted to her husband of 66 years, Wendall Bolton, whom she married on December 10, 1949.  He preceded her in death on January 2, 2016.

Delma is survived by her children:  Dennis (Beth) Bolton of Ovid, Cindy Bolton of Owosso, Kathy (Kyle Bradley) Williams of St. Johns, and Barb (Mike) Bolton-Chapko; grandchildren:  Tom (Tracie) Bolton, Wendy (Dale) Cole, Shawn (Erin) Bolton, Lindsey (Jeff) May, Elise (Mike) Martin, Grant (Sarah Hehrer) Bolton, Shelly Moiles, Tiffany (Wesley) Spear, and Cody Williams; great grandchildren:  David, Meredith, and Shaelin Bolton, Jonathan and Alexis May, Alivia Martin, Jocelyn Street, Andrew Norman, and Dayton and Bentley Spear; brother Lee (Beverly) Bolton, and many nieces and nephews.     Delma was preceded in death by her husband Wendall, parents, daughter Karen Bolton, son Lynn Bolton, three grandchildren, and sisters:  Verna Peck and Mildred Stoy.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI with Pastor Keith Whipple.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Delma's memory to the Ashley Care Center or the Alzheimer's Association.
