Delphine Lee Kehrberg, age 82, of Alma, MI, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her daughters home, with her family and earth angel Mandy by her side.
A Funeral Service will be held at Community Baptist Church, Alma, MI, on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1:00 P.M., with Mr. Tom Huber officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M until the time of the service at the church. A luncheon will follow the funeral service and burial will take place at Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant, MI, at 4:00 P.M.
Delphine was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 7, 1939, the daughter of William Fredrick and Dorothy Mae (Laub) Huber. She graduated from Milton-Union High School in Ohio with the class of 1957.
Delphine lived her life passionately for Christ and was actively involved in the St. Louis Church of God. She led Bible studies and faithfully attended the Church of God in St. Louis and Alma for many years. Delphine also participated in the Christ Care Group, helped in the nursery and with VBS and taught Sunday school. Delphine resided most of her life in the St. Louis/Alma area. She loved volunteering and providing assistance to those in need, including Boy & Girl Scout leader, serving as a Foster Grandparent at Alma Public Schools and as a Senior Companion. She enjoyed thrifting, garage sales, puzzles, cross stitch, and crochet.
She is survived by daughter PJ "Pauline" Hall and Terry Lott of Alma, MI; son William "Bill" Layman II of Alma, MI; daughter Melissa and David Roberts of Midland, MI; granddaughter Brandise (Trevor) Leonard and six other grandchildren and also five great-grandchildren: Aeralyn, Brielle, Saryn, Sevron, and Orin with one more on the way. She is also survived by her brothers: William and Diane Huber of Mio, MI; Tom and Sandi Huber of Mio, MI; and one sister Marcia Erber of Mio, MI. Delphine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale, and son-in-law Steven Hall, sister Nancy Smith, and niece Barbara Harwood.
