Dennis Keith “Shorty” Boroughf

     Dennis Keith "Shorty" Boroughf, age 69, of Saginaw, MI, formerly of Wheeler, MI passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - St. Louis, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 with Pastor Carl Cecil officiating.  Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the funeral home.

     Dennis was born in Alma, Michigan on January 12, 1954, the son of Kenneth Roy and Nelda Louise (Lott) Boroughf. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1972.

     Dennis loved golf and NASCAR. In his younger years, he played tennis and drove his own dragster. He enjoyed traveling and took his boys, Ryan and Nathan, on many adventures. In high school, he was in the band, played basketball, and sang in the choir. Dennis was a cat lover, especially his cats, Roxie and Moxie. He worked for Saginaw Steering Gear - Plant 6 for over 30 years, retiring in 2005.

     Dennis is survived by his mother Nelda Boroughf of Wheeler; son Ryan Boroughf of Houghton Lake; brother Duane (Amy Korth) Boroughf of Breckenridge; sisters: Diane Boroughf of Wheeler and Patricia (Michael) Smith of Ithaca; the mother of his sons Kathy Diechman of Houghton Lake and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ken and son Nathan Bergstrom.
