Dennis Elton Hunt

    Dennis Elton Hunt, age 67, of Laingsburg, MI, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI. 

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, January 13, 2023, with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 2-8 P.M., with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Friday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.

     Dennis was born in Lansing, MI on September 13, 1955, the son of Allen and Beverly (Moore) Hunt.  He married Jacqueline M. Young on July 24, 1982.  They just celebrated their 40th anniversary.  Dennis loved to read, go camping, hunting, and bowling.  He played Fortnite with his son and grandson quite a bit and watched a lot of movies.  He retired from General Motors in June of 2006.

     He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; sons: Chad Allen Hunt of Laingsburg, MI; Christopher (Jean) Hunt of Holt, MI; and daughter Cassondra (Kody) Jones of Laingsburg, MI; his grandkids: Karson, Kalie, and Lauren; also great-granddaughter Azzariah.  Dennis is also survived by his brother Jerry (Jackie) Hunt of Lake George, MI; sister-in-law Shari Hunt of Grand Ledge, MI; mother-in-law Roberta Young of Ovid, MI; brother-in-law Mark (Kris) Young of Ovid, MI; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Duane Hunt, and his father-in-law Edward Young.
