Dennis M. Terwilliger

     Dennis M. Terwilliger, age 82, of St. Louis, MI, went peacefully home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant, MI.

     Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI, at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with Dr. Keith Wise and Jut Daron officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

     Dennis was born in Alma, Michigan on March 28, 1941, the youngest of the ten children of Fred William and Hannah Ione (Mowry) Terwilliger.

     Dennis' faith was the foundation of his life. He was prayer warrior and devoted to his church family at St. Louis Church of Christ. He served as a missionary in Oaxaca, Mexico. He experienced many trials and tribulations, but through Christ he overcame them all. His love for God and testimony of God's grace in his life touched many people.

     Dennis was a talented baker. Everyone fought over his cinnamon rolls. He enjoyed playing the piano, and tending his rose gardens. Dennis was co-owner of the Alma Tropical Fish Center with friend John Nemeth, and then worked at Wolverine Shoe Factory. He later devoted himself to caring for many family and friends.

     Dennis is survived by his brother Carl (Mary Lou) Terwilliger, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Mary (Clayton) Clark, and Helen (Nordy) DeLoach; and six brothers: Frederick (Pauline) Terwilliger, James (Mary Lou) Terwilliger, William (Vivian) Terwilliger, Lyle Terwilliger, Richard Terwilliger and Gerald Terwilliger.
