Derek Hollis

Derek James Hollis, age 30, passed away on October 7, 2012, following a motorcycle accident.

Derek is survived by his parents, Karen Hollis and Thomas (Rita) Hollis, four sisters, Ashlie Hollis, Renee (James) Terpening, Leslie (Brian) Stewart, Lindsay Rue, grandmother, JoAnne Myers, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, as well as his best friends, Jake Hathaway and Daniel Sjaarda. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry Hollis, Marie Hollis and Darwin Myers.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Road, St. Johns, MI 48879 , with Pastor Mark Werner officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund to be set up at a later date for Derek's nephew, Darian James Hollis.

The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
