Diane Franks

Diane Susan Franks, age 57, of Vernon, MI passed away Monday, February 15th, 2010 at St Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel, Corunna, MI. on Friday, February 19th, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P. M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Diane was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 31, 1953, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Fuller) Plashek. She graduated from Corunna High School with the class of 1971. Diane enjoyed sewing, gardening, and collecting horses. She also liked to take care of her own horse in her younger years, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She resided most of her life in the Durand and Vernon area.

She is survived by one daughter Denese and Brad Walters: one son Danny Franks Jr.: three grandsons Branden, Andrew, Aiden: one granddaughter Erin: her mother Frances Plashek: three sisters Lorraine Heiser: Stephanie Plashek: Patricia Nechvil: one brother Carl Plashek: and the father of her children Danny Franks Sr. Diane was predeceased by her father Frank "Sonny" Plashek. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
