Diane K. Lavigne, age 64, of St. Louis, MI passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 with her family by her side.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Ron Landenberg (Diane's brother) and Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Diane was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on January 30, 1949, the daughter of William Leonard and Ethel (Arntz) Landenberg. Diane graduated from Alma High School. She went on to graduate from Nu-Art Beauty School in 1967. She also attended Davenport University for several years. Diane was the best mom in the whole entire world; she was the center of her children's lives. Diane always stressed education to her children, she was very proud that she worked 7 jobs to put her daughter through college. She loved working at Soaring Eagle Casino where she met some wonderful people during the last 15 years. Diane enjoyed spending time at Coldwater Lake, where she enjoyed teaching her family members to water-ski. She also was very proud that she taught her son and daughter to fish & hunt. Diane's proudest moment was when her grandson Triton was born. They spent everyday together and he took care of her till the very last minute of her life. (Love you Nana, Love Triton).

She is survived by her daughter Kim Lavigne of St. Louis, MI, grandson Triton Lavigne of St. Louis, MI, brother Dave and Julie Landenberg of Lupton, MI, brother Ron Landenberg of Bad Axe, MI, sister Sally Kipper of Bad Axe, MI, brother Keith Landenberg of Georgia, grandson Alex Lavigne Folsom, and son-in-law Scott McCormick of St. Louis, MI. She is preceded in death by her very special son Randy Lavigne, who was there to walk her to heaven. Diane is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, 3 brothers and her parents.
