Dianne Shinn

Dianne Fae Shinn, age 68 of Ovid, MI, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Scott Seelhoff officiating.  Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Dianne was born in Owosso, MI on September 17, 1951 the daughter of Laverne and Loretta (Ewing) Willson.  She graduated from Ovid Elsie High School and resided all of her life in Ovid.  Dianne married Robert Shinn Sr. on February 14, 1981.

Dianne loved spending time with family and being home was her favorite place to be.  Her faith was always a very important part of her life.  Dianne enjoyed reading, loved baking, and especially enjoyed Christmas time.  Bird watching was also one of her favorite pastimes, blue birds and humming birds were very special to her.

She is survived by her husband Robert Shinn Sr. of Ovid, MI; son Adam and Kristie Woodhams of Maple Rapids, MI; daughter Aimee and Daniel Brown of Ovid, MI; son Robert and Nikki Shinn Jr. of Laingsburg, MI;  6 grandsons: Joseph Brown, Jami Woodhams, Dylan Brown, Skyler Brown, Kohl Brown and Kallen Shinn; mother Loretta Willson of Ovid, MI; 3 sisters: Debbie and Scott Seelhoff of Ovid, MI, Linda Steele of Ovid, MI, Sandra Putnam of Ovid, MI; 2 brothers: Randy and Sarah Willson of Hillman, MI, Stanley Bloomfield of Lansing, MI: and many nieces and nephews.  Dianne was preceded in death by her father Laverne "Bud" Willson and her brother William "Billy" Willson.
