Dolores Parkis

Dolores Gay Parkis, age 76, of Ithaca, MI died Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ithaca Baptist Church, 221 Norton Gibbs Drive, Ithaca, Michigan on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.

Dolores was born in Ionia, Michigan on September 29, 1937, the daughter of Dewey Ransom and Nina Carlyle (Valentine) Sheldon. Dolores enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Ithaca Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir and participating in the ladies programs.

She is survived by her daughter Angela and George Pettit of Keller, TX; son Kyle and Linda Parkis of Whitney, TX; four grandchildren, Aaron Pettit, Jacque Pettit, Kody (Ashley) Parkis and Kelsey Parkis, great granddaughter Harleigh Parkis, sister Soni Bauer of Alma, MI and brother Darryl Sheldon of Bay City, MI. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob R. Parkis and son Jeffery Parkis.
