Don Andrews

Don D. Andrews, age 81, of Perrinton, Michigan, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Butterworth-Spectrum Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor William Dye officiating. Burial will take place at Fulton Center Cemetery Perrinton, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Don was born in Perrinton, Michigan on November 7, 1933, the son of Will and Vernice (Harter) Andrews. He graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1953. Don served his country in the US Army. On August 26, 1956 he married Mary E. Rumsey in Maple Rapids, Michigan.

Don worked for Total Petroleum in Alma, Michigan for 38 1/2 years, retiring in 1995. Don enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing, and blowing snow. He resided all of his life in Perrinton, Michigan. He was a member of the Alma Elks Lodge, and the Masonic Lodge of Carson City. Don served on the Perrinton Fire Department for 35 years and served on the Perrinton Village Council for 50 years. Don attended Perrinton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Andrews of Perrinton, MI, 1 daughter Wendy Andrews of Alto, MI, 2 sons; David and Marlene Andrews of Alma, MI, Eric and Michele Andrews of Perrinton, MI, 6 grandchildren; Kimberly and Mark Howes, Jeremy and Kelly Beach, Patrick and Amy Andrews, Teagan Andrews, Alexa Andrews, Braeleigh Andrews, 5 great grandchildren, Bailey, Olivia, Ezra, Kullen and Luke. He was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters; Mildred, Ruth, Hazel, Ella, and 3 brothers; Frank, Russell, and Wayne.
