Donald Lee Batora age 49 of Bannister, Michigan died March 17, 2008 at Mid-Michigan Hospice House in Lansing, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan on Thursday, March 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday 2-8 P.M. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie chapel.
Donald was born in St. Johns, Michigan on October 8, 1958 the son of Joseph Pauline J. (Herrick) Batora. He resided most of his life in Bannister, Texas & New Mexico. Donald had graduated from Ovid - Elsie High School with the class of 1978.
He drove truck for D&M Transport Company in Owosso, Michigan and enjoyed hunting & fishing and riding motorcycles.
Donald is survived by 2 sons: Daniel Batora of Detroit, Michigan, Nicholas Batora of Lansing, Michigan, 1 daughter: Jessie Batora of Holland, Michigan, parents: Joseph & Pauline Batora of Bannister, Michigan, 3 sisters, Nancy & Mark Messinger of Indiana, Catherine Batora & Douglas Haubert of New Hampshire, Betty & Tom Stone of Dewitt, Michigan, 3 brothers: Thomas & Corinna Batora of Elsie, Michigan, David & Robin Batora of Elsie, Michigan, Robert Batora & Christine Bielski of Dewitt, Michigan, many nieces & nephews:, special friend, Betty Friday of Bannister, Michigan.
Memorials may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice House, Lansing, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie chapel.
