Donald Bearup

Don Bearup, of Elsie, Michigan passed on to be with his Savior, Monday, December 15, 2014. He was 81.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Cora Grace Goldman officiating. Burial will take place at Collier Cemetery, Washington Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Mary Bearup, his loving wife Marilyn Grant Bearup, his son Michael Bearup, his sister Betty Quick, and brother Lloyd Bearup.

Don retired out of the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing cards and meeting with friends for potluck dinners.

Don is survived by and will be missed by his daughter, JoEllen (Jeff) Frederick of Fairfield, Ohio, and son Steven Bearup of Harrison, Ohio, his 2 sisters; Bertha (Donald) Whitaker of Elsie, Michigan and Joyce (Jerry) Kohagen of St. Johns Michigan, and his brother, Jim (Kitty) Bearup of Elsie, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
