Donald John Feldpausch, age 84, of Fowler, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating. Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI at a later date. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Fowler, MI on October 8, 1936, the son of Sylvester and Odelia (Lenneman) Feldpausch. Don graduated from Fowler High School. On September 23, 1959 he married Joann Pauline Simon in Westphalia, MI.
Don retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. He enjoyed wood carving and gave several pieces to his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing trips and deer camp with his brothers, sons, nephews and friends. He loved camping trips with his family and enjoyed making his famous breakfast over the campfire. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don enjoyed visiting with people and anywhere he went he ran into someone he knew. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Fowler VFW. Don proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic assistant during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Joann, children: Dennis and Kathy Feldpausch, Keith and Deb Feldpausch, Carol and Rich Klein, and Mark and Rebecca Feldpausch, grandchildren: Garret, Gavin, Kara, Nicole, Brandi, Sandra, Kyle, Katelyn, Lauren, Andrea, Ryan, Alyssa, Brennan, Caidan, and Owen, and great-grandchildren: Adam, Nolie, Noah, Lucy, Liam, Alaina, Jace, Sage, Olivia, Hunter, Arthur, and Natalia. He is also survived by his siblings: Claude and Cecile Feldpausch, Alvin and Janice Feldpausch, Neil and Rosie Feldpausch, Edward and Mary Feldpausch, Larry and Regina Feldpausch, Ronald and Lois Feldpausch, Eugene and Kathy Feldpausch, Mary Jane and Kenneth Fedewa, Helen and Chuck Smith, Irene and Bruce Pline, Betty and Bill Wirth, sister in law Fay Feldpausch and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Odelia Feldpausch, brother Alick Feldpausch and nephew John Wirth.
