Donald Edward Hungerford, age 84, of Alma, Michigan died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, Michigan

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, Michigan on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor George Showers officiating. Burial will take place at Seville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.

Donald was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 2, 1930, the son of Ben Elmer and Mary (Fall)Hungerford. On June 3, 1967 he married Marjorie Cook in Hastings, Michigan. Marjorie died on December 12, 1991. Don served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Don had worked for the Detroiter Mobile Home Company in Alma and then went to work for the City of Alma for 20 years. He resided most of his life in Gratiot County, Michigan.

He is survived by his brother Lloyd Hungerford of Elwell, MI, sister Rose and Jose Hernandez of Elwell, MI, sister Louise Crawford of Grand Rapids, MI, 2 step-sons; John and Ronald, 2 stepdaughters; Donna, and Dawn, and step-grandchildren; Rachel & Garet. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, 2 sisters; Illa Woodard, and Jennie Ferguson, and 1 brother Earl Hungerford.
