Donald Charles Keck age 85 of Ashley, Michigan died on Monday, August 15, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Visitation will be on Wednesday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, Michigan, Pastor Diane Gordon will officiate.
Don was born in Ashley, Michigan on March 12, 1920 the son of Charles & Media ( Thompson ) Keck, he resided most of his life in Ashley, Michigan. On January 1, 1942 he married Rose Bacigal in Lansing, Michigan. Don was a member of Ashley United Methodist Church, in Ashley, Michigan.
He retired from General Motors and was a farmer. He was a member of the Ashley Lions Club, Ashley Sportsman Club, former member of the Ashley Village Council, He loved to garden and loved flowers and on Friday nights was special for his grandchildren, and they would come to his home for a party and spend the night.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Keck of Ashley, Michigan, 3 daughters, Joan Derby of Ithaca, Michigan, Janet & Bob Garcia of
Ashley, Michigan, Joyce & Jim Skaryd of Perrinton, Michigan, 1 son, Richard & Pam Keck of St. Johns, Michigan, 10 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. Don was prededesed by his parents, 1 son Terry Lynn Keck, 3 brothers Charles, Bill & Alvin. Memorial may be made to a charity of the donora�(TM)s choice,
