Donald Kruger

Donald Richard "Donny" Kruger age 76, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grove Bible Church, St. Johns, MI, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 5:00 P.M., with Dr. Brendan “BJ” Holmquist officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Donald was born in Francisville, IN on May 2, 1942, the son of Emmet and Laura (Fritz) Kruger. He married Lila Root on March 26, 1966, in Lansing, MI; Lila passed away on January 18, 2015.

Donny worked many years with Kruger's Plumbing and Heating. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, fishing, camping and spending time in Canada. He loved his dachshund Kelli Jo. He looked forward to phone calls with his nephew Stephen.  He was a member of Grove Bible Church St. Johns, MI.

He is survived by his children: Joel and Teresa Kruger of San Antonio, TX; Becky and Jay Peterson of St. Johns, MI; Nick and Deanna Kruger of Round Rock, TX; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by sister Alvera Rodman of Florida; brother Lawrence Kruger of DeWitt, MI; and sister Marilyn Curtis of St. Johns, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, great granddaughter Adrienne May, brothers: Verlen, and Leland, and sisters: Doris, Louise, and Carolyn.
