Donald W. MacKay age 86 of Corunna, Michigan died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center, Durand, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Roger Rose will officiate with burial at Oakwood Cemetery Mt. Morris, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6-8 P.M and Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 2-8 P.M with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Donald was born in Mt. Morris, Michigan on September 25, 1921 the son of Carman and Mary ( Judd ) MacKay. He resided most of his life in Mt. Morris and Corunna areas and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1940. Donald was a dairy farmer since 1962 in Corunna, MI. He enjoyed farming and repairing his equipment on the farm. He was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews. Donald was a member of Grace Bible Church, Owosso, MI. as well as the Michigan Milk Producers Association and the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by sister Helen Leone MacKay of Corunna, MI, nephews & nieces; Jim & Julie MacKay of Corunna, MI, John MacKay of Nashville, TN, Angelete MacKay of Okeana, OH, Deborah & David Riel of Ft. Recovery, OH, great grandnieces & nephews; Lisa & Mathew MacKay-Ring, Jeffery & Karen Riel, Melissa & Jason Myers, Andrew & Alisha MacKay, Rachel MacKay & fiancé Rob Hoschner, and great great grandnephew and niece Brayden Myers, and Reva Grace Riel. He is predeceased by his parents, 1 brother Carman J. MacKay, and sister-in-law Reva MacKay.

Memorials may be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
