Donald John Winkler age 65 of Hazelton, Michigan died April 24, 2006 at Memorial Healthcare Center Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel on April 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Mike Prince will officiate with burial at Elmwood Cemetery New Lothrop, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 2-8 P.M.

Donald was born in Chesaning, MI on July 25, 1940 the son of John and Bessie ( Sochor ) Winkler. He resided most of his life in Hazelton Township, Michigan and graduated from New Lothrop High School with the class of 1958. He worked as a fork lift operator for GM. He enjoyed farming with his father, and polka music. Donald was a member of ZCBJ Lodge of Owosso, and he served in the National Guard.

He is survived by 3 sisters; Patricia & Kenneth Weber of Corunna, MI, Judith & Mark Fiore of Libertyville, IL, and Mary & John Bendall of Corunna, MI, nephew Michael & Diana Weber of Corunna, MI, nephew Brian & Jyoti Weber of Scarsdale, NY, niece Sheryl & Michael Janca of Owosso, MI, niece Susan & Robb Luck of Long Grove, IL, nephew David & Amy Fiore of Libertyville, IL, niece Katie Fiore of Libertyville, IL, nephew John & Amy Bendall Jr. of Lindenhurst, IL, and niece Nicole & Mark Finfrock of Morris, IL. He is predeceased by his parents.
