On June 7, 2018, God called home one of his most faithful and devoted servants. Donetta Vera “Donna” Bebow, 90, of St. Louis, MI passed away peacefully with the comfort of her family by her side.
Born March 21, 1928, Donna lived a long and fulfilling life and was adored by many who knew her. She graduated from St. Louis High School in 1946 and she married the love of her life, Kenneth Bebow, on July 15, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Louis. They raised four children together on their family farm in St. Louis.
Kenneth preceded her in death, along with their infant daughter Kimberly, and their grandson Joshua Bebow. She is survived by her four children: Dianne (Robert) Elnicky of Troy, MI; Kim (Lori) Bebow; Kevin (Kelly) Bebow both of St. Louis, MI; and Kelly (Tony) Bifano of Northville, MI. Donna was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren who all thought the world of her.
Donna, affectionately known as “HD” by her family, was an extremely loving woman. She cared deeply about her family, friends and faith. Donna was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she rarely missed a Sunday service. She spent much of her free time playing cards with her beloved friends and family. Donna also enjoyed watching various sporting events, where you could usually find her in the front row cheering on her grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alma, MI on June 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor John Eich officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI and for one hour Monday morning prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7400 Begole Road, Alma, MI. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.
