Donna E. (Clark) Husted

     Donna E. (Clark) Husted, age 95 of Ithaca, MI, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022, at her home.

     A Memorial Service will be held at the New Haven Church of God in Sumner, MI, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.

     She was born on August 28, 1927 the daughter of Elon & Clara (Dunn) Clark of rural Ithaca. She married Wendell Husted on October 13, 1946 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2016 after 69 years of marriage. 

     Donna enjoyed helping her husband farm in Gratiot County. She loved spending time in her flower garden and was gifted in interior decorating. Donna could often be found with a paintbrush in her hand sprucing up the interior and exterior of her homestead.  

     She was a faithful servant of Christ serving in many capacities throughout the years; most notably as the church pianist the majority of her adult life, right up until the end. Donna was a hard worker and extremely generous.  She found tremendous joy in her relationships with family and friends and was always serving others with her time and talents.

     Donna is survived by her two children: Gale Husted of Mt. Pleasant, MI; and Jan (David) Eckelbarger of Ithaca, MI. She was active in the lives of her grandchildren: Heidi (Robert) Kamminga, Hatti (Jason) Martin and Ben Eckelbarger; and great-grandchildren; Case, Chloe & Lance Kamminga; Isabel & Mallory Martin; and Carter, Carlson, Benson & Brynn Eckelbarger.  She is also survived by a sister Norma Acton and a brother Lee (Anita) Clark.  She was preceded in death by her twin brother Donald Clark, a sister, Maxine Colbry and a granddaughter-in-law Bamberly Eckelbarger.
