Donna Sandel

Donna Lee Mary Sandel, age 76, of Elwell, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 16th, 2012 at her home. Burial will take place at Seville Township Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Donna Lee's life at the family's home on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 1-4 P.M.

Donna Lee was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on May 24, 1936, the daughter of Dewey and Nettie (Pease) Root. She was the wife of Jack D. Sandel. They were married February 18, 1955 at the Alma United Methodist Church. Donna Lee was a lifelong resident of Elwell Michigan and she retired from Ashcrafts Supermarket after several years. She loved flower gardening, camping, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Sandel of Elwell, MI; son, Larry Sandel of Rock Springs, WY; daughter, Penny and Jim McCoy of Craig, CO; daughter, Kay Rice of Elwell, MI; son, Jim and Jeanette Sandel of Craig, CO; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jack, Wes, Seth, Cole, Monty, Charlene, Joe, & Dana; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Patty and Ray Hartman of Elwell, MI; brother in law, Harold Helmen of Alma, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Memorials may be made to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
