Doris DeRosia

Doris Elaine DeRosia, age 73, of St. Louis, MI passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Doris was born in Alma, Michigan on July 16, 1941, the daughter of Lloyd and Elva (Elliott) Peach. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1959. She married Bernard DeRosia on May 14, 1960 in St. Louis, MI. Doris was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. She enjoyed volunteering for March of Dimes and enjoyed cooking and baking for others. Doris was an avid doll collector, reader, enjoyed garage sales, shopping, and flea markets. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Doris and Bernie enjoyed many trips traveling to Tennessee together. She also enjoyed gospel and country music. Doris was a member of St. Louis Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Bernard DeRosia of St. Louis, MI, 4 children; Steven and Annette DeRosia of Ithaca, MI, Jeffrey DeRosia of St. Louis, MI, Kristin Humphrey of Alma, MI, Benjamin and Kelly DeRosia of St. Johns, MI, 8 grandchildren; Amanda, Jared, Darek, Brandon, Sarah, Andrew, Abigail, and Chloe, 2 sisters; Marian and Deward Acker of St. Louis, MI, Evelyn and Richard Pawson of St. Charles, MI, and a brother William and Susanne Peach of Alma, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Melvin Peach.
