Doris Martens

Doris A. Martens died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the age of 94. Doris was born in Riley Township, Michigan on December 3, 1914, the daughter of John F. and Freida (Tiedt) Schumaker. She married Lorenz Martens in Riley Township and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1996. Doris was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Doris retired as a secretary from the State of Michigan.

She is survived by her brother, John W. (Rachel) Schumaker of St. Johns and many nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be at Osgood Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Heimsoth officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m.and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
